IS spring finally in the air?
Denbigh Golf Club's ladies' winter league came to a conclusion last week after a few days of disruption over the weeks.
However, clear winners emerged from each of their respective divisions.
Judy Owen triumphed in Division One, with Gill Gallagher taking the Division Two accolade.
Congratulation go to both and the lady captain’s thanks to all the ladies who supported the winter events.
As for the gents' winter league, the return of the dry weather brought a return to 134 players last week. Good scores were recorded from a number of the very low handicap players, namely Nigel Roxburgh (scratch) and Adam Houston (4), but generally it is the higher handicappers that now dominate the scoring.
Result: Winner, Steve Craddock 41pts. Silver: 1, Nigel Roxburgh 36; 2, Alan O'Malley 36. Bronze: 1, Andrew Rainford 39; 2, Eifion L Jones 35. Nearest the pin, Frazer Jones.
The team leaders have eventually been overtaken, with Llew Davies, Darren Foulkes and Adam Houston edging ahead on 113 points.
They have a narrow two-point lead over the Jones team of Frazer, Fred and Paul.
