SEVEN members of Denbigh Harriers travelled to Blaenau Ffestiniog for the second counter in the Welsh Fell Running Championships Series - Râs y Moelwyn.

This iconic 10.5-mile / 16.9km race climbs 2,800 feet / 853m over three mountains and a rocky outcrop - Moelwyn Mawr, Craig Ysgafn, Moelwyn Bach and Moel yr Hydd.

This race has everything... slippery slate trails, steep mountain paths, rocky scrambles, steep, slippery boggy descents and technical rocky descents.

It is often considered one of the UK's best fell races.

Daniel Jones had yet another magnificent run, finishing seventh overall.

Three of the above fell runners turned up in Dwygyfylchi three days later to race the Moel Lus fell race.

This is a fast and furious, short fell race up Moel Lus above Penmaenmawr, taking in wonderful views across the sea to Anglesey.

Katy Baugh, the third senior lady, finished 48th out of 150 runners, in an excellent time and personal best of 30 minutes and 30 seconds.

Mike Hobday and Menai Baugh finished in 37.01 and 37.52, respectively.
