A SOLITARY goal did the trick to ensure it was a victorious weekend for Llannefydd in North Wales Coast (East) League Premier Division action.
High-flying Llan gained a 1-0 success at home to Mochdre Sports with Simon Roberts bagging the vital effort six minutes into the second half.
Next up for Llannefydd is Wednesday's Cookson Cup final against Rhyl 1879 in Colwyn Bay (7.30pm).
Llansannan were edged out 3-2 in their home clash versus Meliden.
Dafydd Jones and Euros Lloyd struck for Llan, who trailed 3-0 after a quarter-of-an-hour.
Daniel Williams struck four times as Penmaenmawr triumphed 5-0 at Bro Cernyw.
