IT was the ideal weekend for St Asaph Cricket Club.
While the first team was extending its winning start in the Premier Division, the club's second team was also in victorious form in Division Two.
Playing host to Hawarden Park Seconds, the Saints eased to a 58-run margin of victory.
Batting first, St Asaph were able to set 185 for seven from their 40 overs.
Skipper Ben Murphy led from the front with his knock of 45 at the top of the order, while Gareth Jones top scored with 53 batting at number four.
Other good efforts from Mike Thompson (19), David Lloyd (14), Matt Owens (14 not out) and David North (12) helped the Saints to set a decent target.
Nicholas Woods (3-21) was the pick of the visiting attack.
Adam de Rycke (21), Craig Wilson (20) and Aled Wilkinson (20) all enjoyed decent starts, however Hawarden Park's response was eventually halted on 127.
David North led the charge with the ball courtesy of his 3-21 return, backed up by Charlie Williams (2-9), Russell Moore (2-36), Ellior Goddard (1-14) and Mike Thompson (1-28).
