IF you're wanting to watch finals, a popular Vale of Clwyd venue is the place to go!

Ruthin Town's Memorial Park Fields is hosting a number of finals this weekend.

It all begins on Friday evening as Ruthin Town face Buckley Town in the final of the North East Wales FA Challenge Cup.

On Saturday, the club's Glasdir pitches will host a trio of finals.

Borras Park Albion play Mynydd Isa Dragons in the NEWFA U12s' Boys' Cup final, Northop Hall Jets take on Buckley in the NEWFA U12s' Girls' Cup and in the NEWFA U15s' Boys' Cup, Ruthin play against Hawarden Rangers.

Completing a busy weekend, Ruthin will play host to the Horace Wynne Cup final on Sunday.

Adding to the good news, Ruthin Town U13s have secured the Wrexham and District Youth League's Green Division with an unbeaten record.

After an unbeaten run in the league that dated back to last September, the Ruthin side resumed their quest towards the title with a final fixture against Cefn Albion.

Initially, there was nothing to choose between the teams, but an opening goal by Gruff Owens Jones settled any Ruthin nerves.

Billy Tranmer finished well with a volley from a corner and just before half-time, Morgan Lloyd -Thomas then added to the tally with a powerful, curling long range shot.

Cefn pulled one back in spectacular fashion, before Joseff Thomas completed Ruthin's 4-1 win.

"The entire team has worked hard throughout the season and the achievements are very much a combined squad effort," said managers Alan Roberts, Gwyn Thomas and Lyn Evans.

Ruthin U16s claimed the NEWFA Cup on Saturday with a 6-0 win over Rhosddu.

Tom Gwynn Griffiths (3), Harry Martin (2) and Sion Tudor got the goals.

Will Morris (2) and Sion Williams were on the scoresheet as Ruthin Blues U14s defeated Llangollen 3-1 in the league and this followed a midweek win over Hope.

Sion Williams (2), Will Morris (2), Jayden Parry and Aaron Ellis were among the scorers.
