A FANTASTIC fightback means that Cymru North players are heading for Europe!

Trailing by two goals on aggregate at one stage, Guy Handscombe's charges came roaring back to beat their South Wales counterparts on a super Sunday.

Llansawel's Old Road Welfare Ground hosted the second leg of the Cymru South v North encounter, with the winners representing Wales in the UEFA Regions' Cup.

It was still tight after the first leg at Denbigh seven days earlier, which finished up 0-0.

There was a fairly even first half in the latest encounter, before Cymru South grabbed the lead six minutes before the break.

The ball was rolled across to Aiden Lewis, who fired in a powerful effort.

Lewis scored his second four minutes into the second half with a free kick that crept under the wall.

Cymru North had a mountain to climb, but they were back in it six minutes later via Liam Morris.

With the away goals rule in force, Cymru North had the advantage when Ruthin's Jamie Cumming made it 2-2 midway through the second half.

Holywell's Dylan Allshorn gave the northern lights the lead in the 78th minute, while the game was put to bed when clubmate Jake Cooke made it 4-2 with five minutes remaining.
