RUTHIN Town U-15s were certainly in celebratory mood over the weekend.
They took on Hawarden Rangers in the final of the NEWFA Cup and it was Ruthin who were celebrating at the end courtesy of a narrow 2-1 triumph.
Goals from Finlay Jones and Gwern Doherty did the trick to seal Ruthin's cup glory.
In the league, two goals apiece from Reece Prescot and Jacob Lloyd helped Ruthin Town U-12s to a triumph at home to Borras Park Albion.
Also on the scoresheet for the Blues were Dylan Prince, Moi Davies, Tomos Jones, Bobi Barry and Kody Roberts.
Elsewhere, Joe Threlfall scored for Ruthin Town U-14s in a defeat at Brickfield Rangers.
Turning to the midweek action and there was derby delight for Ruthin Blues U-14s with their 5-2 success versus Ruthin Town U-14s.
Will Hughes (2), Will Morris, Sion Williams and an own goal sealed the deal for the Blues.
On target for their opponents were Leo Jones and Deian Jones.
Ruthin Town U-15s were beaten 5-1 in their league meeting with Borras Park Albion.
Gwern Doherty grabbed the Ruthin effort.
