Local cricket
CORWEN sampled defeat for the first time this season in Division Four of the North Wales Cricket League.
However, things initially looked good for Corwen when they bowled out visitors Llanrwst 2nds for just 107.
Matty Lloyd top scored with 46, as Jack Halls snapped up a fantastic 4-8.
Also among the wickets were Harry Pooler (2-15), Gareth Rigden (2-20), Simon Harrison (1-7) and Nathan Aldridge (1-23).
Corwen's response never really got going and they were dismissed for 64.
Pooler and Aldridge top scored with 13 apiece and Scott Thomas picked up five wickets for Llanrwst.
