JAKE Walker took his tally for the season into double figures as Cefn maintained their grip on top spot in the Tillwise Summer League on Monday evening.

Week five of the campaign began as the league leaders secured an 8-0 home success versus battling Rhewl.

Walker hit a hat-trick and he now has 11 goals for the season.

Morgan Jones, Gwion Owen, Brett Fitzsimons, Tudur Jones and an own goal completed the Cefn tally.

Henllan remain hot on their heels following a 6-0 success at Llandyrnog.

David Lawson-Cooke was the star of the show with a treble and he was joined on the scoresheet by Neil Davies, Deio Clwyd and Sam Jones.

Goals from Llyr Morris, Ynyr Jones, Kevin Evans, Sam Jones and Dafydd Davies kept Llanrhaeadr in the title chase with a 5-0 verdict at Trefnant.

Meanwhile, Jordan MacCarter netted twice as Clawddnewydd win 3-0 at 10-man Ysceifiog.

Joe Williams got the other goal.

There was a 3-1 win at home to Llanfair for Nantglyn to celebrate, with Gruff Roberts finding the target twice.

Robin Jones also struck for the hosts, with Meirion Pugh replying.

A feisty affair ended with Llangynhafal edging out Caerwys 4-3.

Two goals from Jake Roberts were key for the home side, who also benefited from goals by Tom Sharples and Alun Vaughan-Evans.

Ryan Anderson (2) and Lewis Harrison kept Caerwys in the mix.
