RUTHIN climbed out of the North Wales Cricket League Division Two drop-zone thanks to a timely triumph over Caernarfon.
The availability of players had played its part in a testing start to the season, but it all came good as Ruthin secured a thumping 91-run success to climb to ninth spot in the table.
Josh Duckworth (38), Murray Whitehead (32) and Jac Evans (27) all played their part as Ruthin were able to make a competitive 154 for nine from their 40 overs.
Caernarfon's response never really got going and they were dismissed for just 63 in reply.
Jac Evans (4-22) and Matthew Duckworth (3-12) did the bulk of the damage with the ball and there were also wickets for Josh Duckworth (1-5), Osian Roberts (1-10) and Oliver Jones (1-12).
