THINGS were just perfect in preparation of open week at Denbigh Golf Club.

Perfect conditions with the fine weather was indeed the ideal recipe to end last week and to start the open week competitions.

A host of events have been arranged as per custom and Denbigh presents a challenge to all with excellent greens which peak at this time each year.

A warm welcome to all visitors is in store.

Nigel Jones claimed the Foxhall Putter and monthly medal competition at the club on Saturday.

His 13-handicap turned out to be lucky as Nigel triumphed with a nett round of 62, two strokes clear of runner-up Gwilym Pierce.
