THE Britannia put on a masterclass as they dismantled the A-league leaders unbeaten record in the ruthless fashion in the latest instalment of Denbigh and District Darts League.

Current leaders Wings A were put to the sword as the second-placed Brit outfit overwhelmed them 7-2 at home to put themselves very much within the summer league title race.

The Brit's Nick Hailes hit a great 116 checkout in his tie and also partnered Dai Davies in the doubles to a fantastic 15-dart leg.

Danny Tinney responded with a great 15-dart leg for the away side, but that was as good as it got for Wings A.

Golden Lion B had a chance to close in on the top-two but were turned over 6-3 on their travels as Railway A posted a magnificent victory.

Tom Brown struck a fine 106 finish for the red-hot Railwaymen.

In the battle at the basement of the top tier, Golden Lion A scored a much-needed 6-3 win over Railway B 6-3 to boost their hopes of staying up.

Wings B chalked up another maximum points haul as they whitewashed the Hand Inn 7-0 to stay top of the B-Division.

The Second Division's only unbeaten side, White Lion A, carried on their good form as they scooped a 4-3 victory at the Cons Club, courtesy of Ynyr Waller who grabbed the all important fourth point.

The Salusbury Arms continued their upturn in form with a great 5-2 result at White Lion B.
