THERE'S no doubt who the star of the week at Denbigh Golf Club has been.

Ceri Parry manage to hit top form twice to take a pair of victories.

In fine form, Ceri was able to win both the Tuesday ladies' competition and the Lady Captain’s prize.

The good weather returned at last and as with all courses, the fairways burn up under the sun, but the irrigation system still provides those emerald receptive greens and the forecast is for a blistering week which will see the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews start on Thursday.

No doubt, we shall see a parched course similar to Hoylake when Tiger stamped his authority using his driving iron with accuracy and planning!
