DON'T get to Ruthin Town games too early this season!

That appears to be the message after Phil Hudson's charges continued their winning start to the campaign.

Ruthin opened their Cymru North programme in terrific fashion with a 1-0 outcome during their trip to Conwy Borough.

Town are yet to score in the first half this season and the opening period yielded little in the way of opportunities.

Jamie Cumming, Gwion Owen and Osian Davies were introduced in the second half as Ruthin pushed for a breakthrough.

This eventually came in the second minute of stoppage time and one of the substitutes made the difference.

It was Cumming who came up with the winner as Ruthin made it back-to-back triumphs to open their campaign.

Ruthin Town Development began their North East Wales League season with a narrow 2-1 defeat at Penyffordd Lions Reserves.

Sean Kell was on target for Ruthin 20 minutes from time, however Marcus Davies' late strike gave the points to Penyffordd.
