Music, comedy and dance at North Wales theatre in Mold

From the opening production of Tick, Tick... Boom! (June 2-28) - the acclaimed musical by Jonathan Larson (creator of RENT) - to Alan Ayckbourn's gripping dark comedy Snake In The Grass (Sep 15-Oct 4), the season at the Mold theatre offers unmissable productions.

The opening season includes major West End productions, including James Graham's powerful adaptation of cult-80s drama Boys from the Blackstuff (July 1-5 ), the stage adaptation of thriller The Girl on the Train starring Laura Whitmore (July 15-19), and smash-hit Tudor musical Six (Sep 23-27 ).

Theatre lovers can also look forward to a fresh adaptation of Pride & Prejudice (Oct 15-25), a bilingual Romeo a Juliet (Oct 16-17), and Cardiff's Sherman Theatre's acclaimed drama Housemates (Sep 9-13).

In addition to theatre, the season boasts live music, including a performance from West End stars in Welsh of the West End, classical concerts from Sinfonia Cymru and pianist Llŷr Williams, and stand-out comedy from the likes of Seann Walsh and Jasper Carrott.

Theatr Clwyd's acclaimed rock 'n' roll pantomime will return with Cinderella (Nov22-Jan 17).

Artistic director Kate Wasserberg said: "This season is a celebration of everything Theatr Clwyd stands for - bold, brilliant storytelling and world-class talent."

Tickets for the opening season are on sale to Theatr Clwyd members from today (February 26) and public booking opens on Monday, March 3.
