A mum convicted of having a kitchen knife when she went in drink to the Denbigh home of a former pal has received a twelve-week suspended jail term.
Loreen Drysdale, aged 39, of Lloyd Avenue, Denbigh, on benefit, must also do 120 hours unpaid work, a rehabilitation activity and pay £315 costs. A two-year restraining order was imposed by Llandudno magistrates. She had denied possessing the knife.
Diane Williams, prosecuting, said Drysdale had made threats while outside the front door.
David Jones, defending, said there was a background to what happened in March.
“Whatever she had in her pocket, she was extremely foolish to go around to this property,” the lawyer remarked.
However, the defendant had been by the front door and the ex-pal was at an upstairs bedroom window.
There were underlying problems with drink and mental health and Drysdale was receiving help, Mr Jones added
