A 50-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested following police enquiries into reports of burglaries in the Corwen and Llangollen area last weekend.
Mark Cunningham was arrested in Llangollen and subsequently assaulted a Police Officer and a Police Community Support Officer when trying to escape. Several members of the public assisted officers to help detain him.
He has been charged with three counts of burglary, two assaults with intent to resist arrest and possessing a noxious liquid.
He was remanded and put before Llandudno Magistrates Court yesterday (January 1) where he was further remanded in prison until his next appearance in court.
North Wales Police have thanked those members of the public who assisted the officers during the incident.
