A TEACHER has been nominated Employee of the Year for improving a nursery in Corwen.
Corwen Day Nursery introduced the “Employee of the Year” scheme at the back end of 2016 as part of their staff well being programme so that the team would feel valued and appreciated.
Hanna Davies, who has been employed at the nursery for almost eight years and is NNEB qualified, received the award after being nominated by her fellow colleagues and parents.
During the year, Hanna received employee of the month three times: in May for transforming all the home corners, in June for organising a fantastic graduation ceremony and again in October for her suggestions on helping to sustain the nursery.
Nursery owner Carmen Roberts Davenport said: “I believe that to be awarded employee of the year is a huge achievement and what the whole team should be aspiring for.”
