YOUNG Bala Town players have been testing out their skills versus Everton.
Bala Town Academy's U-8s and U-9s travelled to Finch Farm to take on their Everton opponents.
In the U-9s' encounter, Everton Academy were able to break through the team in the fourth quarter with individual skills and passing of the ball, which earned the hosts the result.
Bala didn't let their heads drop, though, and they continued to battle, working well within their positions, and playing a counter attacking style of football.
The Lakesiders started the first quarter well, scoring a goal and dominating the midfield.
Due to the bad weather, Bala U-8s played indoors in the dome, where the Everton first team trains.
A lot of the play was in the Everton half, with Bala scoring some great goals.
Overall, it was a very disciplined performance by the Bala players, whose intensity and energy levels never dropped, while they kept a clean sheet.
