Cwmtirmynach
EARLIER this month in Cwmtirmynach, a cheque for £2,500 was handed to the Ysbyty Glan Clwyd cancer unit patients' fund.
Iona Davies, from Clawddnewydd, looks after the charity side of the unit and she was in attendance to receive the check.
This is the money raised by raffling the quilt created by members of Cwmtirmynach Sewing Club last year.
The club wanted to buy equipment for patients similar to a syringe driver, nebuliser and a chair to lie on.
In her address, Iona said the cancer unit would be pleased to receive bags that have been sewn to hold chemotherapy equipment, which the patients could carry onto the ward.
Iona has given the club a pattern.
If anybody else can help out they can contact any club members.
