A LARGE tree situated near a rural lane in Llanfair DC has fallen victim to the strong winds that blasted Denbighshire over the weekend.
The ash tree on Jerico Lane near Merllyn Road, Llanfair DC, caused traffic disruption after being blown onto the road at about 10.30am on Saturday, January 26.
The Met Office issued a yellow warning on the Saturday and following Sunday for winds up to 55mph possible inland.
Denbighshire County Council's (DCC) Highways Department were alerted to the tree fall and attended at 4pm.
The tree was cut down and cleared by 4.30pm by DCC with the help of a contractor and nearby farmer.
