A PET cat was rushed to the vets after being doused in diesel.
It is understood the incident may have been deliberate.
Sami Featham posted in Facebook group Town Talk Denbigh news & views that diesel had been "chucked" over her cat.
"Thanks to whoever has chucked diesel over my cat or left a deep bucket of it that she’s fallen into," she said.
"She is now in the vets for at least 48 hours, been shaved and monitored for poisoning as she has licked it."
It is understood to be the second incident after another cat was found covered in diesel last week.
RSPCA Cymru said they were "shocked" by the incident and is calling for witnesses to come forward.
An RSPCA Cymru spokesperson said: "RSPCA Cymru is very shocked to hear that a cat has reportedly been deliberately covered by diesel.
"We very much hope this cat is okay and has a speedy recovery from this ordeal."
Anyone with information is asked to telephone the RSPCA on 0300 1324 999.
