St Brigid's School
A TEAM of nine runners from St Brigid’s School, from both the primary and secondary sections, went to the latest Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales Schools’ Orienteering League event.
It was held in the grounds of the National Trust site at Erddig, near Wrexham.
Orienteering courses are colour coded to reflect their technical and physical difficulty.
All the primary school runners completed the white course, following the tracks in and around the woods surrounding the main building, for 1.7km.
A well done goes to George Grocott, from Year Five, for completing his first event.
From the secondary school, Freddie Kingsland (Year 8) and Maddie Bunn (Year 9) were both part of the Wales team in 2018 and they are getting ready for this year’s national competitions.
A well done goes to Freddie for winning the light green course on the day and for winning the Year 8 boys' competition with one event still to go.
