A TALENTED youngster has been grateful for sponsorship which will help him to compete in a major international tournament.

Charlie Caton will represent Wales Colleges and Schools U-18s at the 2019 Roma Caput Mundi tournament.

This event will run in Italy between February 16 and 22.

Charlie, 16, is the son of Bala Town FC manager Colin, and he would like to thank Ian Gibson and Garry Morgan at Artisan Windows, Doors and Conservatories, Denbigh for their sponsorship.

Next Monday, February 18, Wales will take on Moldova in their first game at the tournament.

This will be followed on Tuesday by a testing clash versus hosts Italy.

Wales will take on Greece on Thursday, February 21, while the final of the tournament will be played on Friday, February 22.

In addition, the players will receive an audience with His Holiness Pope Francis next Wednesday.

Ysgol Brynhyfryd pupil Charlie attended a WSFA training camp in Cardiff back December ahead of his selection.
