YOUNGSTERS from a nursery in Denbigh had the chance to visit their local Police Station last week.

The group of pre-schoolers from the Snuggles Day Nursery took a trip to the station, where they were given a tour of the cells and even had the opportunity of putting the sirens on in the police cars.

The children, who are three and four years old, dressed up in Police uniform and had their finger prints taken and transferred onto a key ring for them to take home with them.

They also had a personalised police badge made before finishing their busy day off with a picnic.

Jemma Francis, who accompanied the children alongside Katie Evans, said: "We would like to thank all the staff at Denbigh Police Station for inviting us to come and visit. The children had a very exciting morning."

Over the next few weeks, the children will be learning about several different occupations by paying a visit to the nursing home and the fire station. They have also already paid a visit to Henllan bread bakery.
