MOTORCYCLISTS have been warned to "take extra care" after a rider failed to round a bend before crashing near Corwen on Saturday.
North Wales Police's roads unit issued the warning after a male motorcyclist made a "lucky escape" following the crash on the A494 in Glanrafon.
Police said the man was unable to turn and "went straight over the carriageway", crashing into a tree in a roadside ditch.
The warning was issued as part of the force's annual Operation Darwen campaign which aims to promote road safety, including patrolling popular meeting spots for racers.
A spokesperson for the police unit said: "Motorcyclists, please take extra care when approaching bends. A rider had a lucky escape on Saturday when he went straight over the carriageway and ended up in a ditch.
"He was taken to hospital with head and arm injuries but thankfully he will be OK."
