RESIDENTS are being urged to lock their cars, sheds and outbuildings following a spate of burglaries.
Police issued the warning following the theft of items from vehicles and sheds in the Llys Tywysog, Llys Fammau and Llys Catrin areas of Denbigh.
Mike Robinson, district inspector for North Wales Police, said residents should consider using "extra security" for their vehicles and outbuildings.
“The majority of the offences are being committed where the cars or outbuildings may have been left insecure,” he said.
“We are asking residents to ensure that they property mark items of value; that they store them securely and that their cars and outbuildings are locked and checked regularly.
"We would also recommend that residents apply extra security to vehicles and outbuildings and not rely on the security supplied as standard by the manufacturer.”
Anyone with any information relating to recent thefts should call Denbigh Police Station on 101, or use the North Wales Police live webchat. Alternatively, call Crimestroppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
