SINCE taking over a Denbigh butchery business Daniel Morris has won a string of awards and almost doubled turnover.

The Vale Street shop has seen a steady increase in people coming through the door, thanks to paying particular attention to what customers really want and the introduction of a range of new products.

The butchers was formerly called J Williams Butchers, which closed its slaughterhouse in December after poor hygiene review.

However since Mr Morris's takeover it has turned around its fortunes, receiving six national awards.

Mr Morris said: “It has been really encouraging to see more people coming into the shop, it’s noticeable each week. I’m convinced the key to success has been ensuring customers get individual service allied to the quality of our products.

"The number of gold and silver awards we have won in national competitions has helped. Also I’ve introduced a range of new products to supplement what is normally expected in a butcher’s shop.

"This includes oven ready meals such as chicken Kievs, beef stroganoff, pork schnitzels, beef truffles."
