St Brigid's School
OVER the past year, pupils at St Brigid’s School in Denbigh have been working towards achieving the bronze award for the ‘Cymraeg Campus’ initiative.
In order to achieve this, a ‘Criw Cymraeg’ was established, with pupils in each class from year one to six working together to develop the use of Welsh throughout the school and promote a strong Welsh ethos.
This was achieved through many ways, such as developing Welsh playground games, using a range of Welsh apps and promoting a Welsh phrase of the week.
The pupils have enjoyed accessing a range of new books which have been purchased to encourage reading in Welsh.
Thanks to the hard work of the Criw Cymraeg, staff and pupils, the school has now achieved the Cymraeg Campus bronze award.
St Brigid's School is now working towards the silver award.
