A COUPLE set up a tent on the grounds of north east Wales castle amid lockdown.

Police said officers were called at 7pm on Thursday to Castell Dinas Bran in Llangollen where the couple had set up a tent.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said the incident was reviewed and that appropriate advice was given.

Denbighshire Free Press:

Llangollen resident Stuart Davies, whose house looks over the castle, said: "They were there all day, it's not great in the cirumstances.

"We're still getting tourists and visitors to Llangollen, not as many as in previous weeks but some are still coming."

It comes amid calls by police and local authorities for people to stay home at that North Wales is closed until further notice.
