A DENBIGH MAN has dyed his beard and hair the colours of the rainbow to raise money for a local hospice.

Due to lockdown, Ty Gobaith charity shops have had to close and they are in need of support.

As a result of this, Gwyn ''Squeek' Jones, who owns Graig Motors in Denbigh, has so far raised more than £420 for the shop in Conwy.

The 64-year-old, who grew up in Prion and has also lived in Nantglyn, usually sports a short stubbly beard. However, he decided to grow it out, originally planning to shave just half off for charity, but later decided to dye it in Ty Gobaith's colours of the rainbow instead.

Gwyn's daughter, Kerry Crayden said: "I'm very proud of my crazy kind-hearted dad raising money for such a great charity! He’s a great sport that goes along with crazy ideas.

"He has made so many people smile and laugh with his colourful beard which is great at this present time."
