POLICE have appealed for information after a cat was shot in a village near Ruthin.
North Wales Police's Denbigh Rural officers tweeted that the incident took place in Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd between Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1.
A photo shared by police on Twitter showed a pellet gun wound on a white cat.
It urged members of the public with further information to call 101.
The police tweeted: "Ruthin Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing for information after a cat was shot in the Llanbedr DC area, sometime between the August 31 and September 1.
"If you know anything about this please call us quoting reference Y131123."
