DENBIGHSHIRE’S archive is set to reopen to the public for the first time since the coronavirus lockdown.
North East Wales Archives said it will carry out a phased re-opening of Ruthin Gaol from Friday, September 18 with safety measures in place in its research rooms.
A strict booking system means that visitors must book a morning or afternoon visit and their required documents at least 72 hours in advance. A maximum of 10 items can be booked via the online catalogue, which will be prepared for viewing upon arrival.
The archive, which houses historic documents including photographs, maps, newspapers, censuses and birth, marriage and death certificates, will be open every Friday from 10am-4.30pm.
North East Wales Archives’ Hawarden site will also open at the same time every Tuesday as of September 15.
