POLICE have issued a warning to residents in Ruthin after a house was burgled.

North Wales Police said on the Community Safety Central Twitter page that the incident on Bryn Goodman took place after a window was smashed by the suspect to gain entry to the rear of the property.

It warned that residents should put keys out of sight and lock up gates surrounding their property.

Unfortunately a resident of Bryn Goodman in Ruthin has been the victim of a burglary," the tweet said.

"The suspects got round the back through a side gate, smashed a window and opened it with the key.

"Please remember to remove keys and put a padlock on your gate to stop access to the rear."
