CLWYD South Liberal Democrats have pledged to “lead a conversation” about building a stronger, fairer and more prosperous future for Clwyd South, as they unveil their candidate for next year’s Senedd elections.

Local party members have chosen Leena Farhat to stand in the elections set to take place in May next year.

Leena is a MSc. Language Technologies student at Bangor University as well as a part-time member of staff at Wrexham Glyndwr University, where she works with Technocamps as a Delivery Officer in schools across Wrexham and Flintshire.

Lenna is a first generation British and multilingual young woman. As well as being the Diversity Officer for the Welsh Liberal Democrats, she is also a proud campaigner for a variety of causes close to her heart such as Cymdeithas yr Iaith and Cancer Research UK, she is also the youngest trustee of the Institute for Welsh Affairs.

Lenna has lived across the world and is proud of her international outlook. She has recently become a Prospective Senedd Candidate for Clwyd South. Her passions include science, language, devolution, education and rural affairs. Her dream is to represent the people of Wales on a national and international stage

“I want to represent Clwyd South because I care deeply about our county’s future. That’s why I want to reconnect with our communities, and lead a conversation about how we can build a stronger, fairer and more prosperous future for our county”
