THREE fire crews have been tackling a blaze at a property in Rhyl this evening.

The incident took place just after 4pm on Wellington Road and involved the first floor of a property.

The road was closed as crews from Rhyl, Abergele and Prestatyn worked together to extinguish the fire by 6pm.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue said: "We were called to the scene shortly before 4pm.

"Three engines, from Rhyl, Abergele and Prestatyn were dispatched, along with an aerial ladder platform from Rhyl.

"They were responding to reports of a first-floor fire in a property in Wellington Road near its junction with John Street and Ffynnongroew Road .

"Two officers wearing breathing apparatus entered the building."

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service added that everyone living at the property has been accounted for.
