STAFF and children at Corwen Day Nursery have been learning together recently.

The staff team has just completed an inspiring new training course - ‘Adventures with Alice,’ - which covered six important areas of learning: curiosity, connections and relationships, language, thinking, creativity and emotions and wellbeing.

Nursery owner Carmen Roberts Davenport said: “We are striving for excellence and completing ‘Adventures with Alice’ has inspired the team to be extraordinary. We engage our children in a world where there is lots to discover, and we want them to be confident in their play. We support the children to be curious through the play that we offer and because all children are naturally curious, they will be eager to investigate, enquire and make discoveries. The Adventures with Alice programme was the perfect tool to develop and inspire my team.

"The Nursery is only as good as the staff. Because we all enjoyed and learnt so much from ‘Adventures with Alice,’ we have already signed up to the next stage, which covers a further six areas of learning: STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), becoming a reader, marvellous malleables, stepping outdoors, sand and water and the imagination zone."
