KIND children from a Denbighshire school sent letter of condolences to the Queen following the death of Prince Philip and received a reply back.
The Duke of Edinburgh died on April 9 and Year 3 children from Denbigh's Ysgol Frongoch were quick to send on their letters to the Queen soon after.
Last week, the children received a letter back from Windsor Castle saying: "The Queen wishes me to write and thank all of you for your messages of sympathy on the death of Her Majesty's beloved husband The Duke of Edinburgh.
"The Queen has been deeply touched by the messages she has received from all around the world and is most grateful to you for your thoughtful words and kindness in writing as you did."
Mrs Boyd and Mrs Sivill shared the letter with the children, who were 'amazed and very proud' to get a reply.
