A RUTHIN café is re-opening this month following a period of closure to undertake extensive refurbishments.

Café R, based at Ruthin Craft Centre will re-open with new menus on offer, as well as modern new looks for the site and a host of new jobs on offer.

The new theming includes new branding, furniture, decoration and locally sourced new menus hope to encourage locals back to eating out this autumn.

Jamie Groves, managing director of Denbighshire Leisure, said: “We are thrilled to be reopening Café R in Ruthin, after what has been a difficult few years for the tourism and hospitality industry. We’re committed to investing in Denbighshire and are proud to be bringing more employment opportunities to the local areas as well."

Café R has undergone a full refurbishment, including extra seating, new decoration and Denbighshire Leisure Ltd are thrilled to welcome a new head chef to the kitchen.

The restaurant is dog friendly, with the whole family (including the dog) welcome for Denbighshire Leisure’s signature roast dinners and giant Yorkshire puddings.

National coffee brand Costa has once again partnered with Denbighshire Leisure and is being installed in Café R.

Jamie added: “Café R will be the place to be for catching up with friends, lunches out with the family and our famous Sunday roasts. And it doesn’t stop there, in the spring we will be introducing evening dining and new outdoor seating areas at both venues.”
