VOLUNTEERS from Denbigh in Bloom have met with members of Dementia Friendly Denbigh at the newly completed sensory garden located in Lower Park.
Dementia Friendly Denbigh kindly donated one of the benches for the garden, which Denbigh in Bloom has installed a plaque on.
Bodfari Environmental carried out all the hard landscaping, which was achieved through successful funding from the National Garden Scheme.
Planting was completed by students from Ysgol Frongoch and local artist Tara Dean has led a project for residents of Dolwen, Plas Eleri and Llys Meddyg, creating forget me nots. These have been located within the raised beds and borders surrounding the garden.
This project has been a long time in its process, with planning starting some three years ago.
There is plenty more to do within the garden going forward and organisers will add to the space when more funding is secured to permit the development.
