A VALE of Clwyd voucher scheme has been set up... and that's got to be reassuring!

Ruthin Artisan Markets CIC has launched a new voucher scheme in the town called ‘Reassuringly Ruthin’.

The vouchers can be used for any business in Ruthin that are signed up to the scheme.

There are currently over 60 businesses signed up, with more being added daily.

Vouchers can be spent at the butchers, the bakers, and not quite the candlestick makers - but people can spend them in any of the independent shops within the town that sell candles if you so wish.

Vouchers can even be used towards a blacksmithing course.

The voucher scheme helps people to shop locally and it also helps those businesses that don’t currently have the facilities to offer vouchers to do so.

"This Christmas, more than ever, our local shops need your support and by buying one of these vouchers or shopping local you’re really helping out," said a spokesperson.

Vouchers are valid until the end of November 2022 and are available in increments of £10, £20 and £50 and are available from State of Distress on St Peter’s Square, Ruthin.

Interested people can find an up-to-date list of businesses on the Rhuthun Calonogol / Reassuringly Ruthin Facebook group, or at www.loveruthin.com

Shoppers can also look out for the bright yellow stickers in business windows saying where they can redeem them.
