A 'SWIFT' team effort by police officers led to the arrest of a suspected armed robber in Denbighshire.
Police say an incident involving a man with a hammer took place in Ruthin.
The suspects vehicle was tracked down and stopped and he was subsequently arrested and taken to custody.
In a Tweet posted in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, January 9, the Cheshire and North Wales Police Alliance Armed Policing Unit wrote: "Armed Robbery in Ruthin, Denbigh by male with a hammer. Alliance staff deployed and suspects vehicle located and stopped with assistance of NWP Intercept team.
"Offender arrested and taken to custody. Swift team effort to locate and secure dangerous offender."
