A WORLD record has been seen at an online sheepdogs auction.
Organised by Farmers Marts, which has an office in Bala, the May timed internet auction of working sheepdogs turned out to be hugely popular.
Malta Gin was the sheepdog to set a new world record after being sold for an amazing £29,600.
Meanwhile, 16 lots sold for over £4,000 and the trained average was £2,955.
The partly trained average was £1,075, with pups averaging £834.
Overall, the sales average realised £1,621.
Upcoming sales will take place on July 6 and August 31.
In fact, the timed internet auction was definitely one to remember with not only one, but two new records being set.
The first record came early in the sale as lot 20, Malta Gin from Lancaster set a new record for a highest priced working sheepdog and sold for an astonishing £29,600.
The second record set on the day was for an 11 week old un-broken bitch pup from Staffordshire.
Kim Jnr went on and sold for an impressive £11,600 to set a new record for an unbroken sheepdog pup.
