PUPILS at Ysgol Cefn Meiriadog have received a number of accolades recently.

These include the Makaton Friendly School status.

This was awarded following training for staff and a whole school commitment to ensuring all members of the school community are included and can communicate using signs and symbols and words.

Ysgol Cefn Meiriadog has also completed the 'Learning with Autism Primary School Programme' ensuring that all staff, governors and pupils are now much more aware of autism and how they can support someone with ASD.

Finally, the older pupils completed Dementia Friends workshops recently and have all made pledges to ensure they can share their new knowledge with others and can support those living with dementia in the best way that they can.

It has been a very successful few weeks and one that shows just how important inclusivity is at Ysgol Cefn Meiriadog.
