SINGERS from the Vale of Clwyd will be performing for the country's best athletes over the summer.

The winning choir in the SATB 14–25-year-old (no more than 40 in number) category at this year’s Urdd Eisteddfod will perform as part of the Team Wales celebrations as they prepare for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Dyffryn Clwyd Choir will be performing for the athletes this summer.

Last year, Mr Urdd was revealed as the official Team Wales mascot at the Commonwealth Games, which will be held in Birmingham in August.

The Urdd became an official charitable partner of Team Wales back in May 2019, to inspire children from all over Wales to have a go at sports and to take part in physical activity.
