AN iconic Vale of Clwyd establishment is being put up for sale.

A decision has been made to sell the Brookhouse Mill, in Denbigh.

A statement from the Brookhouse Mill on Facebook read: "Due to the tragic events of the last 14 months, we have made the decision that without Karen and John (Hall) we cannot continue with Brookhouse Mill.

"It is with great sadness that Brookhouse will close and be offered for sale with the hope that a new owner can be found to take the business forward for the next 41 years.

"Brookhouse Mill has been the place for so many special occasions and created so many memories that have touched peoples lives.

"We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved in making Brookhouse Mill what it was - a big part of the community and one big family.

"We would also like to thank everyone, from staff past and present, customers, suppliers, friends and family for all their support over the past 41 years."

Mrs Hall passed away in May at the age of 51 years.

Mr Hall, who had run the venue along with his wife for many a decade, died in March 2021 at the age of 61.

In his memory, during the following summer Mr Hall's son, Josh, decided to lead a team of staff from the Brookhouse Mill on a Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The North Wales Cancer Appeal.

He was joined by restaurant manager Ellis Wood, head chef Gareth Rogers, Sam Roberts, Liam Roberts and Rob Thomas, who all thought this would be a fitting tribute to Mr Hall.

The team successfully completed their challenge in less than 24 hours and raised over £16,000.
