Investigations are ongoing following a collision that saw a bus shelter damaged, say police.  

One person has been arrested following the incident in Corwen earlier this month.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We received a call at 9.09pm on Friday, December 2 reporting a vehicle had been involved in a road traffic collision on London Road, Corwen with a stationary vehicle, before striking the bus shelter on The Square.

"Officers attended alongside colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Services Trust and Denbighshire Highways.

"One person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, and our investigations are ongoing."

A spokesperson for Denbighshire County Council said: “A council emergency out-of-hours team attended Corwen town centre during the evening of December 2 following a road traffic collision.

"The team made the area safe and cordoned off a shelter at the site of the incident.

"The area was further cleaned and all debris cleared on December 9.”
