AN artistic Denbighshire pupil has claimed a major accolade.
Libby Jones, a year two pupil at Denbigh's Ysgol Y Parc is the overall winner in Denbighshire County Council and NSPCC North Wales’ schools art competition.
Children in Denbighshire schools were asked to produce a piece of art entitled ‘What makes me happy’.
This competition was arranged to promote wellness in Denbighshire.

Libby was awarded a certificate, a medal and a prize when she attended the Denbighshire County Council meeting in the council chambers, Ruthin, at the end of February.
She was presented with her prize by Denbighshire County Council chairman Cllr Arwel Roberts.
Libby has also won a day with an artist for her and her year two classmates.
"Amazing! Well done Libby!" said an Ysgol Y Parc spokeswoman.
