HEAVY snow means two major roads in Denbighshire are closed.
In an update on the wintry weather, Denbighshire County Council has said The Horseshoe Pass, near Llangollen, and Gwaenysgor Hill, Prestatyn, are currently closed.
A council spokesperson said: "Further heavy sleet and snow showers are expected to continue throughout the day and overnight into Friday morning.
"All routes have been treated several times and the county road network is largely passable with care."

Denbighshire County Council gritting teams have been working continuously to keep the primary network open and the teams will be salting all priority gritting routes throughout the rest of the day and again overnight.
Meanwhile, agricultural snow plough contractors have also been deployed to assist teams in dealing with the worst affected routes.
Looking ahead, the spokesperson added: "Overnight, there may be between 2cm and 5cm of snow at lower levels and 10cm-30cm at higher levels with the possibility that strong winds may lead to some snow drifting.
"Residents and road users are advised to allow extra time for any journeys that are necessary and to take extra care."
