A SPRING Job Fair was held at Llangollen Town Hall last Wednesday (March 8) and saw more than 80 people come through the doors.

The fair was held with the aim of allowing people to meet with employers face-to-face and discuss career and employment opportunities.

The event proved popular, despite having to finish early due to adverse weather.

This was the second job fair held this year, and was organised by Denbighshire County Council’s Working Denbighshire Team, in partnership with Llangollen Town Council.

Councillor Jason McLellan, Leader of the Council and Lead Member for Economic Growth & Tackling Deprivation said: “I am pleased to see this latest job fair has been so well attended.

“These job fairs are vitally important as they connect the people of Denbighshire with both locally and nationally recognised businesses and employers.

“This was a great event, which greatly benefited the people of Llangollen, as well as the county as a whole.

“I would like to thank the whole Working Denbighshire team for their hard work and dedication which really helped to make this event both possible, and a brilliant success.”
